Membership Manager Blog Success

A fairly quiet week this week at Blog Success with members busy learning and blogging I guess! So yesterday I decided to send out some new content and as the email alert hit people’s inbox they were back in the forum and participating! I keep my eye on the forum all the time and have a browser permanently open when I am online so I tend to catch any new posts quickly – which is why I really miss it when it is quiet.

As always my alert focused on the wonderful 60 day plan that is doing wonders for my traffic and the whole Blog Success experience has completely changed the way I blog, my focus on what I blog and how I bring traffic to me. In the past I added blog posts just because – now I blog with purpose and intent – and the results have been great. I mention them on my blog here

The interview with Jack Humphrey and John Jonas about outsourcing and the 4 hour work week were added to the membership area today and it is a fantastic interview worth listening too. There is so much that can be outsourced and for a few hundred dollars a month you can employ a full time worker who is completely trustworthy and who will do most of the work that you don’t want to! I have employing someone to take over my traffic generation work down as my goal for September 2009 and I can’t wait!

I am enjoying chatting to members as always, spanning different parts of the globe. It’s always cute to hear someone stop for a few seconds and then say “oh…. you’re…. British!

Yes… indeed I am.

Membership Manager Blog Success

Busy week this week as it is newsletter time and so the week for me has been dominated with writing and chatting!

I sent out a message to all members reminding of their opportunity to spend time with me to figure out where they are and where they are going with their training. That sent in a wave of new chats and my busiest chattiest week yet since starting at Blog Success!

Founding member of Blog Success Peter Lenkefi took some time out of his schedule to talk with me about outsourcing and that interview is available in the members area.

I spent some time this week reminding members that while making your blog look pretty is great it doesn’t pay the bills and focusing on marketing and promoting your blog to bring in traffic, subscribers and/or buyers is far more important. I focused on the analogy of starters, growers and finishes. We have all 3 traits within us but one will be stronger.

As a starter I love the creative side of getting things started, there are those who find it hard to get going but love to spend time growing a business and those who are great at making sure projects (and blog posts!) are finished are the finishers. It is important to learn how to develop your weaker sides to ensure your blog doesn’t start and then flop or never get started because you are planning all your learning! Or of course you outsource it
